In the early summer of the year 1995, four guys met on the slope of a Swiss hill. David, living then near Lausanne, had invited the three others to discuss the future of the Generate! Foundation, a grouping of independent, dynamic, but lonely, redevelopers of urban deprived areas in Europe. Under the shadowy trees, surrounded by David's promising plantations of flowers, cabbage and other green stuff, we stared at the blue Lac Léman and the white-capped French mountains at the opposite side of the waters.
